Baroness Thatcher dies peacefully at 87 ....The woman who transformed Britain

The Conservative politician was the UK's first female Prime Minister serving from 1979 to 1990. Baroness Thatcher had been staying at the Ritz Hotel in Central London for several months and it is understood that she died there this morning. She will receive a ceremonial funeral with military honours at St Paul's Cathedral. Prime Minister David Cameron said: 'It was with great sadness that l learned of Lady Thatcher's death. We've lost a great leader, a great Prime Minister and a great Briton'. She was last pictured in public on October 13 last year, dressed in blue as she left her home in London for lunch on her 87th birthday.
